Our Singapore-based maritime academy has completed installation of a dual Wärtsilä full-mission bridge simulator system, expanding our capacity to train deck officers for the most demanding conditions they will encounter at sea.
The new simulators reproduce extreme polar navigation, dense strait-crossing traffic, and degraded-visibility scenarios that are difficult or unsafe to replicate on a live vessel. Cadets and serving officers cycling through the academy now train against scenario libraries built from real incident and near-miss data across our managed fleet.
This investment reflects Ocearis Alliance's broader academy strategy: every officer promoted through our ranks trains on the same simulator standard, regardless of which vessel type they are assigned to next. It also allows Chief Officers preparing for command to run assessed bridge resource management exercises before ever taking the conn on a live passage.
The academy remains open to cadets and lateral-entry officers applying through our Careers program, with intake cohorts scheduled quarterly.
